The holidays are once again upon us. It can be such a wonderful yet busy time of year. Between festivities and sales, there is a lot to see, do, and shop for, but there should also be one thing to keep in mind as we head towards the end of the year, along with the items mentioned above. You can't forget about planning, and I don't just mean planning your celebrations and get-togethers or when and where you're going to do your holiday shopping. You can't forget about planning for the upcoming year.


A new year means a fresh start for anyone and anything. It's also the perfect time to take a look back at the past year and re-evaluate your strategies for the new year. Take advantage of the end of the year to begin some early planning for your company's strategy going into the new year. Below are some ideas of things to think about for your company's strategies as we head into 2024:

  • Reflect and review the current strategies you've been running and how you can adjust and adapt going into the new year. It's a great time to lean into strategies that have continually been successful throughout the year, especially if your industry tends to have a bit of a lull after the holidays.

  • If there's a strategy that you aren't currently implementing but are interested in trying out, talk with your agency about it.   • Take a look at the creatives that you've been running. Is it time to refresh the look and feel of the messaging that your brand is bringing to the table? There is nothing wrong with having a strong branding message that has been successful and is true to your brand, but every now and then, adding a color change or changing the stylist choice can make a powerful impact.

  • Fresh and eye-catching creative helps you stand out from the crowd and allows your messaging to be memorable and at the top of the right audience's mind.

  • Keep up with trends in your area and keep a close eye on your competition. Use free tools like this to take a look at what's happening around you and how it's been trending over time.
